HOW TO GET THERE?
You have to go to Lawas and then drive a 49KM off-road to get there. There are many ways to reach Lawas:
  1. Fly from Kota Kinabalu, Miri or Limbang using MAS Wings.

  2. Drive your own vehicle. If you're from the direction of Kota Kinabalu (KK), you will pass by Papar -> Beaufort -> Sipitang -> Sarawak Border -> Lawas. If you're using GPS, set "KFC Lawas" as the destination.

  3. Take bus from Kota Kinabalu, Miri or Limbang.

From Lawas to Menangang Place, you can:
  1. Drive your own 4x4 vehicle. If you're driving from the direction of Sabah such as KK, turn left to the off-road when you see this signboard about 7KM before reaching KFC Lawas.

    If you're driving from the direction of Sarawak such as Miri or Limbang, first go to KFC Lawas and then drive to KK's direction. You will see this signboard approximately 10KM from the KFC, turn right to the off-road.

  2. Take a 4x4 taxi. Go to Mega Hotel in Lawas town and take the taxi or arrange with our appointed transporters:

THINGS YOU SHOULD BE AWARE
There are things you should be aware if you plan to drive the off-road by yourself:
  • Only use 4x4 vehicle.

  • Do not speed.

  • Keep your vehicle to the left or right side of the road by following the direction of this signage.

  • Turn your vehicle's head light on.

  • Always give way for bigger vehicles.

  • Use signal to indicate your direction for opposite vehicles.
